This morning when heading to attend a workshop, I was waiting at the bus stop. There was a senior lady also waiting and we started to chat something, even though we didn’t know each other and were wearing masks. She said yesterday was bad weather in the City. The platforms had a lot of water stains and she needed to clean up (She is a cleaner at the train station). She told about her supervisor who is from Spain and a few different attitudes between the staff and manager. This reminds me of some ideas regarding my recent study. I am doing my Diploma of Leadership and Management, and one of the units is about lead and manage effective workplace relationships. I agree with her point of view as a basic level of the employee because of my working history and experience. However, because of my new study, I start to stand on the thinking position at a higher level. It is great to hear someone’s feedback and thoughts about their job. I believe that well qualified managers should listen to their staff’s voices. Double-way feedback can help a lot in the workplace and also can improve their work performances.
Now, I like to talk to different people to get some learning reflection.
