My name is Sandra Song; my specialisation is in paper conservation. I am currently interested in investigating the Japanese karibari board manufacturing process, alternative drying boards, and the different materials used in their surface coatings. I have completed a virtual conservation internship in the paper conservation team with the Grimwade Conservation Service (GCS); for three-weeks, I undertook preservation planning for a poster collection and observed the adaptation of a new working environment for the GCS during COVID-19. I did my lab-based internship at GCS in 2021, which was beneficial for my industrial practice. I was a volunteer Greeter at State Library Victoria 2019-2022. Currently operating my micro business for conservation and restoration services and Asian paper supplies.
